AITO M5 Ultra SUV: New Upgrades in Design and Tech
Recently, we learned from official sources that the AITO M5 Ultra has opened for pre-orders. This new mid-size SUV features upgrades in exterior design and smart driving capabilities.
In terms of appearance, the new model introduces two new exterior colors—Zero White and Phantom Purple—offering a younger and more stylish look. Other design elements remain consistent with the current model, including sharp headlight styling, an aerodynamic front bumper, and large air intakes, enhancing its sporty appeal.
The smart driving system has been upgraded, now featuring a 192-line LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar. A new “Comfort Braking” system ensures smoother braking performance. Safety enhancements include an upgraded all-directional AEB collision avoidance system and eAES automatic emergency steering, supporting simultaneous braking and obstacle avoidance.
Inside the cabin, new interior color options—Red Tea Orange and a family-style column shifter—have been introduced. The model also adds new central storage space and a seamless four-way leg rest for the front passenger seat.
Regarding powertrains, the AITO M5 Ultra offers both pure electric and range-extended versions. The range-extended model features a 1.5T engine as a generator, delivering a maximum output of 152 horsepower. The electric motor produces 200kW for the two-wheel-drive version and 365kW for the all-wheel-drive variant. It offers a pure electric range of 255km and a total range of 1440km, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds.
The pure electric version provides a maximum power output of 200kW and peak torque of 360N·m, offering a CLTC-rated range of 602km.
