BYD E-VALI: Electric Commercial Vehicle Debuts
The BYD E-VALI, a pure electric light commercial vehicle, makes its world debut at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, Germany. It is a 3.5 tonne/4.25 tonne all-electric light commercial vehicle for last-mile distribution. Equipped with BYD blade batteries and high-specification intelligent driver assistance features, the BYD E-VALI has a strong cargo carrying capacity, providing a more practical and lower-maintenance product option for local environmentally friendly commercial vehicle fleets.
In terms of appearance, E-VALI has a large inclination of the front windshield, because there is no engine in the front, the center console can be made lower, and the field of vision is quite good, the headlight groups through the design, the front end of the car to show the BYD brand LOGO. the rear of the vehicle has quite a lot of space in the cargo compartment, the tail end uses the door-to-door type design, the battery does not affect the storage space, and the cargo compartment height is very high.
Inside, there is also a triangular window in the A-pillar thanks to the large tilting front windscreen design, and a huge storage slot space in the upper part of the center console for the temporary presence of documents and even a temporary ID slot in front of the dashboard. Despite being a commercial vehicle, the interiors are also very trendy and include floating gauges and a center console. At the same time, physical buttons are retained in the lower portion, where the electronic shifter knob is also set. The steering wheel also has function buttons and the vehicle has a three-seat layout for the front seats.
The BYD E-VALI is available in two lengths, 5,995mm, and 6,995mm, and can be used to carry cargo weighing 700-1,450kg with a volume of 13.9-17.9 cubic meters. It is also available in 2WD and 4WD options and is powered by an 80.64kWh BYD battery pack with a maximum range of 220-250km.
