Zeekr 7X: Futuristic Electric SUV with Bold Power
As the fifth model under the brand, Zeekr 7X adopts ‘Hidden Energy’ as its design concept. The new car is positioned as a medium-sized pure electric SUV based on the SEA Vast Architecture. It will be launched on 20 September and will be equipped with the 800V high-voltage platform as standard.
Regarding appearance, the Zeekr 7X adopts the Hidden Energy design language. It is equipped with the family’s signature penetrating smoked combination headlamps, giving the front end a wider visual width and a more avant-garde atmosphere. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with the newly upgraded ZEEKR STARGATE one-piece intelligent light curtain, with a full-scene intelligent interactive light language, further enhancing the sense of technology.
From the side of the body, the new car has a curved sky silhouette, which adopts the 0.618 golden body ratio and integrates rich body lines to create a dynamic and elegant posture. At the rear, the new car is equipped with a penetrating suspended fluorescent taillight group and adopts SUPER RED LED technology, which is expected to bring a good visual experience. At the same time, the car adopts a hidden water-cut design, so that the paintwork and the rear glass are seamlessly connected, which improves the visual effect while taking into account the waterproof and dustproof function. In terms of body dimensions, the new car’s length, width, and height are 4825/1930/1666 (1656) mm, and the wheelbase is 2925 mm.
Inside, the new car will come with a 13.02-inch LCD instrument screen and a 15.05-inch center console with Mini LED panels and an 8295 chip. Five physical buttons are equipped below the center console screen, including driving mode selection, tailgate switch, volume knob, customization button, and glove box opening. In addition, the glove box also supports setting a password. The vehicle’s front and rear seats support ventilation/heating/massage and are equipped with power leg rests. The right rear seat of the rear row offers a 13-inch OLED 2.5K entertainment screen and supports power angle adjustment. The rear armrest also offers a 6-inch control screen with adjustments for air conditioning, seats, music, and ambient lighting.
In terms of power, the entire Zeekr 7X comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform, and the dual-motor four-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 165kW and 310kW, respectively, for a total maximum power of 475kW (646hp), and the 0-100km/h acceleration will be at the 3-second level, with a 100.01 kWh Li-ion ternary battery pack, corresponding to a WLTC range of 705km. The single-motor rear-drive version will reportedly be powered by a 310kW silicon carbide motor, with 75-degree and 100.01-degree battery options.
The Zeekr 7X is not as individual as the Kryptonite 001 or Kryptonite X in terms of overall styling, and there’s no performance-style exterior kit visible on this vehicle, which has a ‘harmless’ look, but it’s no slouch in terms of performance. The maximum power of 646 hp in the 4WD version is the ceiling level of SUVs in the same class, and the car takes into account the attributes of the family in terms of space, which is a worthwhile choice for those who pursue the driving experience but also have to take care of their families.
