Xiaomi YU7: A New Contender in the SUV Market
According to the latest news, the Xiaomi YU7 will be launched between June and July. The base model will come with a large battery and lidar. Its main competitors include popular models like the Tesla Model Y.
To recap, the Xiaomi YU7 adopts the brand’s family design language, featuring bullet-shaped headlights and multiple lenses, making it easily recognizable. The car also has large, blacked-out air intakes at the front, with aerodynamic grooves on both sides, enhancing its sporty vibe.
The YU7 sports a coupe-style, fastback design, with a long front and smooth, dynamic roofline. At the rear, it features the same tail light design as the Xiaomi SU7, but the SUV’s taller body makes the lines look more stretched and elegant. According to the latest data, the vehicle’s dimensions are 4999mm in length, 1996mm in width, and 1600mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.
In terms of performance, the YU7 has both dual-motor and single-motor variants. The dual-motor version has a combined maximum output of 508kW (691 horsepower), with front and rear motor powers of 220kW and 288kW, respectively. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 235kW. The dual-motor model is equipped with a ternary lithium battery, while the single-motor version uses a lithium iron phosphate battery. The single-motor variant has a curb weight of 2315kg, compared to the dual-motor model’s 2405kg.
