BYD Yuan Plus (Atto 3) Champion Edition Revealed

Recently, the BYD Yuan PLUS Champion Edition made its debut, with the new vehicle largely retaining the exterior and interior design of the current model. There are new exterior and interior color options, and the configuration has been upgraded. Similar to the previously released BYD Tang EV Champion Edition and Qin EV Champion Edition, the prices have been adjusted to varying degrees compared to the older models. Exterior Design

New Color Options

In terms of exterior design, the Yuan PLUS Champion Edition introduces two new colors: blue and purple, with an additional cost for the purple color option. In addition, the red exterior color option will be discontinued. The front of the new car features BYD’s latest design language with the “Yuan” emblem added to the chrome grille.

Regarding the interior, the new car introduces a luxury light beige interior and offers features such as front seat ventilation and heating, privacy glass (rear doors and rear windshield), upgraded 3D transparent panoramic imaging, intelligent up and down movement, child mode, and screen wiping mode.

Advanced Technology Equipment

In terms of interior design, the dual-color center console features a muscular flowing design, with air vents resembling dumbbell plates and the central armrest resembling a treadmill. The center console maximally simplifies physical buttons, featuring only a full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central display, equipped with the DiLink 4.0 (4G) intelligent connectivity system. The screen can still rotate, and the system offers various apps.

The new car adopts a five-seat layout, with both front seats being electrically adjustable. The rear seats are equipped with a 4/6 split-fold design, a central armrest, rear air vents, and two USB ports. It also has a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the vehicle’s rear features an electric tailgate.

Power and Range Options

In terms of power, the Yuan PLUS Champion Edition is expected to continue to be equipped with a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 150kW and peak torque of 310N·m, achieving 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds. In terms of range, it will offer two different battery capacities: 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh, corresponding to a range of 430km and 510km, respectively.
